機械與機器理論為從事機械與機器科學(xué)促進國際聯(lián)合會（IFTOMM）知識領(lǐng)域的研究與開發(fā)的工程師和科學(xué)家提供了一種交流的媒介，因此，IFTOMM作為其官方研究期刊而附屬。主要主題是：設(shè)計理論和方法；觸覺和人機界面；機器人、機電一體化和微型機械；機構(gòu)、機械傳動和機器；機械系統(tǒng)的運動學(xué)、動力學(xué)和控制；在生物工程和分子化學(xué)中的應(yīng)用從方法上講，這包括理論、實驗和/或歷史方法，以及它們的實際應(yīng)用，包括教育。實質(zhì)上，期刊旨在涵蓋與機構(gòu)和機器相關(guān)的所有學(xué)科，如：設(shè)計理論和方法論、機構(gòu)運動學(xué)、轉(zhuǎn)子動力學(xué)、計算運動學(xué)、多體動力學(xué)、機械動力學(xué)、非線性振動、連桿和凸輪、齒輪和變速箱、運輸機械，機械系統(tǒng)的控制和可靠性，包括液壓和氣動系統(tǒng)、實驗測試技術(shù)、機器人和機器人技術(shù)、機電一體化、微型機械、人機界面、觸覺等。機械和機械科學(xué)在生物工程和分子化學(xué)等其他科學(xué)領(lǐng)域的應(yīng)用前景也受到歡迎。

Mechanism and Machine Theory provides a medium of communication between engineers and scientists engaged in research and development within the fields of knowledge embraced by IFToMM, the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science, therefore affiliated with IFToMM as its official research journal.The main topics are:Design Theory and Methodology;Haptics and Human-Machine-Interfaces;Robotics, Mechatronics and Micro-Machines;Mechanisms, Mechanical Transmissions and Machines;Kinematics, Dynamics, and Control of Mechanical Systems;Applications to Bioengineering and Molecular ChemistryMethodologically, this includes theoretical, experimental, and/or historical approaches, along with their practical application, including education. Substantially, the journal aims at covering all subjects related to mechanisms and machines in general, such as: design theory and methodology, kinematics of mechanisms, rotor dynamics, computational kinematics, multibody dynamics, dynamics of machinery, nonlinear vibrations, linkages and cams, gearing and transmissions, transportation machinery, control and reliability of mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, experimental test techniques, robots and robotic technologies, mechatronics, micromachines, human-machine interfaces, haptics, among others. Prospective fields of application of mechanism and machine science to other scientific areas such as bioengineering and molecular chemistry are also welcome.
