《應用概率論》是世界上最早從事應用概率論研究的期刊，其出版歷史跨越50多年。它是由應用概率信托基金出版的國際期刊，是應用概率研究進展的伴刊。其廣泛的受眾包括應用概率的整個領域的領先研究人員，包括生物科學應用、運籌學、電信、計算機科學、工程學、流行病學、金融數學、物理和社會科學，以及任何使用隨機建模的領域。一份提交給應用概率論的意見書可由總編決定刊登在《應用概率論雜志》或《應用概率論進展》上。一般來說，較短的論文發表在期刊上，較長的論文發表在期刊的前沿。

With a publication record spanning more than five decades, the Journal of Applied Probability is the oldest journal devoted to the publication of research in the field of applied probability. It is an international journal published by the Applied Probability Trust, and it serves as a companion publication to the Advances in Applied Probability. Its wide audience includes leading researchers across the entire spectrum of applied probability, including biosciences applications, operations research, telecommunications, computer science, engineering, epidemiology, financial mathematics, the physical and social sciences, and any field where stochastic modeling is used.A submission to Applied Probability represents a submission that may, at the Editor-in-Chief’s discretion, appear in either the Journal of Applied Probability or the Advances in Applied Probability. Typically, shorter papers appear in the Journal, with longer contributions appearing in the Advances.
