我非常高興地?fù)?dān)任《足病醫(yī)學(xué)與外科診所》雜志的特邀編輯，該雜志專門討論“跟骨骨折治療的當(dāng)前觀點(diǎn)”。令人驚訝的是，很少有足病醫(yī)學(xué)和外科方面的教科書或診所專門討論跟骨骨折，而且其中許多教科書或診所已經(jīng)過時(shí)，或者涉及到在美國(guó)無法使用的固定系統(tǒng)。為這一問題選定的作者在他們所分配的題目上是受人尊敬的權(quán)威人士，他們十分和藹可親，從他們的實(shí)踐和家庭中抽出大量時(shí)間來適應(yīng)我在這一問題上的嚴(yán)格的、在許多方面是不切實(shí)際的目標(biāo)。

It is with great pleasure that I serve as Guest Editor for this issue of Clinics in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery devoted to "Current Perspectives on Management of Calcaneal Fractures." Surprisingly few textbooks or Clinics in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery issues devoted entirely to calcaneal fractures exist, and many of those that do are outdated or involve fixation systems that are not available for use in the United States. The authors selected for this issue are respected authorities on the topics they have been assigned, and they have been gracious enough to take substantial time from their practices and families to accommodate my tight, and in many ways unrealistic, goals for this issue.
